Safety & Security

Automotive glass is widely recognised as an important factor in car safety. Since the early 80's, it has been mandatory to equip automobiles with laminated glass windscreens, which crack, but remain intact when broken.

Unlike tempered glass, laminated glass is actually two pieces of glass bonded together by a plastic interlayer (PVB).

Laminated glass delivers a double advantage. Not only does it help to keep passengers inside the car during an accident, but it also protects from dangers on the outside, as it takes a thief 10 times longer to penetrate laminated glass compared to standard tempered glass.
